Fun Things To Do On A Rainy Day, On a rainy day kids and adults a like could feel like it is a bad day, plans my bit ruined, you might feel bored or a bit miserable, however, there’s still plenty of things to do so lets looks at some activities on a rainy day.

In the Rain
Kids love messing about in water, so take them out in the rain. The very process of getting ready to go out is fun for kids. Putting on their Macs’ and wellies and taking their umbrellas, there are some lovely, fun and colourful children’s umbrellas on the market.
There are also the clear plastic bubble ones that curve down as opposed to the normal umbrella. Once everyone is dressed for the weather you can all brave the elements in style. You can also make a walk in the rain the subject of the next story they will be writing for you.
Throw in an incentive such as a small prize for the best story, best descriptions, best pictures and so on, no-one need be left out.
After the walk has finished and everyone has dried off, the writing and colouring competition has ended, what about baking something? All or most children like to create things. Cookies, cakes, pizzas or whatever you decide and is relatively easy for them to do. The heat from the oven and the smell of the cookies, or whatever is baking, will round off the nice wet walk in a lovely warm cosy way.
Bowling
Ten pin bowling is a great fun activity when the weather outside is just too wet and wild. It makes a change from sitting at home and maybe listening to the kids moaning that they have nothing to do. Take their friends with them for the added interest.(Get their parents to repay the deed on another rainy day)

Board Games
If it’s a rainy winter day, take pleasure in looking out on it while sitting in comfort and playing Scrabble or some other board game. Maybe Monopoly is your favourite. These games are great for whiling away rainy days
Grab a Book
Reading can be fun. Take the kids to the library and let them browse the books. Let them each take a couple home with them and that is sure to pass a couple of hours during a rainy day.

Put on a film
A film or DVD is sure to keep children and adults entertained as long as there are some refreshments around like popcorn and candy.

Have a rainy day rota in the holidays when all the kids are bored, providing that there are willing participants in the way of parents and or guardians. You could all put money into a pot and each use it to do something fun.
