As someone from an early age I’ve always been a night person, as a teenager like most I migrated my sleeping patten to later nights and sleeping in, but as I’ve got older and responsibilities etc changed, the demand for those hours of sleep and pattern etc decreased but my mind and body hasn’t. Years later with early starts for kids and work it’s always a challenge getting up in the morning and trying to sleep.

For some, it can be difficult from month to month and almost living on a delicate position, almost a financial edge, and for others it can be saving saving saving, sitting on money just in case.

I was lucky enough to find Boo when I was young, and since then we have been together for over 20 years, we’ve been even more fortunate to have 3 children and build a life together, but over the years some friends have come and gone, but a few of mine have stayed around, alongside some newer ones, however recently I’ve pondered to myself there all single or have no kids, etc and this can be a struggle.

We all have things that are a little compulsive, some struggle with it more than others and there can be different levels of OCD, my closest to this is my time obsession, it’s extremely odd and can be a constant frustration and plays on my mind with watches and clocks.

A couple of years ago after working full-time non-stop for nearly 20 years, we had a change around in our life and work situation, this allowed me to go part-time and as a dad spend more time with the kids and be part of family life, 2 years on how are we getting on? what’s been happening? and more importantly, is it working.
