Loot Crate | Lord of the Rings | Worth Fighting For

Loot Crates are mystery boxes that can be bought on their website or as part of a subscription and can be complete or mystery or can be themed, though it’s not always clear in advance what will be in them thus the mystery. This box is the second in a special trilogy of boxes, unfortunately, like before these have been delayed but thankfully we have now received both.

Worth Fighting For

“I know now, Folk in these stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t, they kept going. Because they were holding on to something…that there’s some good in this world Mr Frodo, and its worth fighting for.”

Its no secret for my love of LOTR, and thankfully Tigger has also followed me into it, we have a variety of LOTR collectors stuff. The last Loot crate was ok to see here however it was missing stuff, had extras and tweaked, however, this one was as far as I’m aware, correct, so where did the journey take us? what would be in there, and what would Tigger and I be looking forward to, as per the last one it has a little book with information regarding each item, styled in an old fashioned writing book etc, the box itself is black on one side, which is normal, but inside a Balrog appears.

My Friends Tee

“Some may say that fierce battles and great kingdoms are no place for Hobbits, but these brave friends have travelled far and they bow to no one” This was a Tee depicting the four Hobbits, ad friends on a black shirt, though I always appreciate Tees, even the poor ones I wear underneath clothes in the winter etc, I’m surprised if this one is accurate, the print on it seems to have gone wrong? you can barely make out the design and the colours are all over the place, again I would be surprised if this is how its meant to be.

One Ring Bracelet

“The burden is heavy and at the end of all things you will find no veil between yourself and the great eye, you do have to carry it alone” This is a leather style bracelet with a metal clip one side but the One Ring on the other, these been no doubt many ways of display the One ring through the years, but this was a little different, many people like these style bracelets in their collection on there wrist to this was a great idea, Tigger liked it so he’s got it for the future.

Middle Earth Tapestry Scarf

“War is coming and you must go far, do not despair, its only a passing thing, this shadow, and you have a long journey home” This scarf is very light and practically seethrough with its beige colour there is though a black map over it showing middle earth, again maps of middle earth has been done many times I’ve not seen it on a scarf before, I don’t believe Tigger and I will ever wear it, I’m not sure who would if I’m honest, but hanging it etc would be easy to do, and that’s what we are doing in Tiggers room.

Frodo and Sam Socks

“He made a promise Mr Frodo, a promise, don’t you leave him Samwise Gamgee, and he doesn’t mean to” this is the first of two sets, Socks, and straight from the off, you need to be fans of funky socks and the design is very clear and vibrant lol, but a fan would love these Frodo and Sam are fairly obvious in it.

Legolas & Gimli Socks

“Gimli never thought he’d die fighting side by side with an elf, side by side with friends aye he could do that” The second pair of socks also sees Legolas and Gimili venture onto them, I surprised  they’re not Merry and Pippin and carrying on the theme from the rest, but these are still good, could do with the rest now to complete the set lol

Rohan Banner

“Gondor calls for aid and Rohan will answer, now is the hour, Riders of Rohan, Oaths you have taken now fulfil them all, to lord and land.” This is a large banner with holes to allow you to hang it on display, the design is nice but the colours are perhaps not correct, its one of those that you would like each house, it’s quite striking that may put you off hanging it.

Leaves of Lorien Pin

“When the Fellowship came to Lothlorien, the Lady Galadriel bestowed Upon them brooches bearing the leaves of Lorien May they keep you safe” For me, this is one of the best things, these are accurate to the film, they are a significant weight and feels sturdy, this is great for display or wearing.

Overall

Overall this is generally a successful box if you have oped a few mystery boxes you tend to see the same ideas but with themes, but this one had some more unique style items like the Banner, Scarf, and funky socks. Like normal you have to be a fan of LOTR, sometimes you might find something for someone but these are very fan-based so bare this in mind if you are taking punts on these boxes,

The quality is very good and with their issues from the first ones, there is much of a complaint, many are apparently exclusive which is also a bonus and I’m looking forward to the next one, as ever time is a problem so have this in your mind, these do not come straight away and almost never stick to there time scale unless there’s something I don’t know about lol, but as LOTR fans, a solid box.
