At the beginning of lockdown, I decided to start a lockdown diary, recording what’s been going on, what we’ve been up to, our thoughts and challengers, with me being a key worker and the kids and Boo being at home most of the time. This time we cover two weeks as I was off from work last week and took a break from Blogging etc.
Week 20 was only my second week off since October and because of Lockdown etc I’ve been even more busy than normal, so I was so looking forward to it, the previous week obviously went so slow in my final countdown to it but thankfully it arrived, and to be honest I didn’t do much, we had a couple of days out but in reality, I just wanted to rest, relax, spend time with kids, do some gaming and watch some films,
It sounds a little lazy but I was so tired, mentally and physically, I also took the decision to keep blogging to an absolute minimum as even though it’s good, it can take so much of your time and your mind, and I needed to switch off.
The previous week nothing really happened, kids are playing together and doing some gaming, while Boo has been doing work and lots of reading, this was essentially it as we had gone into full summer holiday mood, the weather had been ok so they played in the garden a little but it wasn’t the dizzying heights of previous weeks, but the second week it got very hot.

Chessington
We decided to venture out on 2 days, this was a big step as Boo has been nervous about going out, and in reality, she and the kids have hardly been out, and we certainly as a family haven’t been anywhere, so the first day was Chessington,
I did a quick review on this as I imagine many will have no idea how and what it’s like, that’s my opinion, I didn’t really know what to expect, this day was prebooked and overall we did enjoy ourselves, it settled us down a with our worries, and for kids some much-needed fun and different scenery.
Legoland
Our second day was Legoland, it’s no secret we love Lego, and in reality for the kids its one of the better places to go, even though Roo is getting a bit old for the park now. It was busy! and extremely hot, 30c was too much and once we had done everything that we realistically could, it was time to come home, we hopefully will be able to go back to both at some point with our Merlin passes, but currently, they aren’t the same, it’s fine but it still feels odd.
Next week I go back to school and we find ourselves halfway through the summer holidays, but with everything that’s going on, I have that feeling the kids won’t be back at school in September or we will shortly all be back in full lockdown.
