I have been recording our Lockdown time in our diary to help us look back at this crazy time, how it was? what happened? how did we feel? what did we do? With the kids and Boo at home dealing with Homeschooling and home life, and me who is at work as a key worker, observing people and trying to help.

Kids
With half-term looming next week the kids continued their schoolwork, they are definitely in that grove now and getting used to doing there work in the mornings, we are starting to set them, extra challengers, in the afternoon but to be honest, there’s only so much you can do lol.
The kids have though been enjoying the garden more, the hot weather has helped as they have had several water fights, but also the addition of a Go Outdoors Tent to the house has allowed them to play in it, however, they have wanted to have some camping sleepovers so now a couple of times they have been in it, with more plan next week, one was cut short on the night we have really bad wind, think it was a bit too much for them as they came in early, luckily the tent stayed in place though.

We’ve been doing more baking, where I work I have the option sometimes to get things a little cheaper, like short-dated items or delisted lines that we now need to sell to make room for new food lines, so we did with some chocolate, as we had a few bars I got rice Krispies that were also on sale anyway, and went old school with Chocolate Krispies, Roo did most of this but all of us, except Tigger(fussy Eater), enjoyed them.
Me
With my work I alluded to last week that people really have just given up on some of the lockdown rules, and this week was the really big noticeable change, people aren’t keeping the distances that were being done before, there’s now a lot less PPE going round, kids are coming into the shop on there own, and some with there parents, and to be honest they weren’t coming in before so there isn’t a child care issues, with the sunny weather and heat, people have let there guards down and hopefully there won’t be any repercussions.
Boo
Boo still is doing some work while looking after the kids and housework, we still hoping her work will pick up soon as more people can head back to work, with the house we have been making inroads to the garden (more to come) and more planning, so hopefully, soon we will have these bits done.

Overall its been more of the same week, nice weather though has added to the week, some more shopping bargains has helped our mood, along with tweaks to the gaming room, next week is half-term (kind of), I forgot there was a bank holiday lol.

The lovely weather we are having is certainly making things easier to bare but like you, I worry that people are continuing to drop their guard. What the implications of this will be, only time will tell.
It looks like you’ve been enjoying your time though x
27 May 2020 at 11:54 amIt sounds like you have been having fun baking, unfortunately, I think people are now thinking that with the rules cooled down a bit they do not have to worry about social distancing
27 May 2020 at 3:39 pmI love the idea of camping in the garden for kids. Unfortunately we don’ have a garden here. I agree, some people aren’t keeping distances and there seems to be a change in the last week
28 May 2020 at 8:24 amSounds like you’ve had a lovely week bud. Baking is always good with the kids. I’ve noticed the same when being put, wether it’s picking up a prescription from the supermarket pharmacy or popping to the corner shop for milk and bread. More families congregating in the gardens for a bbq or people in general just getting lazy with the social distancing.
We have a similar routine with the schoolwork in the morning and then like a free rein in an afternoon.
28 May 2020 at 9:13 amI’ve found people acting very differently in supermarkets now, although I’ve started doing more shopping online as it’s just easier for me. You’re doing great with the homeschooling etc, but you’re right there’s only so much you can do x
28 May 2020 at 8:34 amIt is the same in my town too, everything is pretty much back to normal with no one adhering to the distance rule. Looks like you all had an interesting week or baking and camping.
28 May 2020 at 9:52 amI have definitely noticed a change in people too – more people seem to be throwing in the towel and thinking everything is all over when it truly isn’t
28 May 2020 at 8:16 pmOoo I am loving the baking and also that you have been doing some home style camping too very cool. Yeah, I get that the attitude has changed and it is like nothing is wrong at all x
28 May 2020 at 8:39 pmI agree- you can definitely see more people around and more getting back to the new normal. It is hard though – I don’t know how work will look like. I hope it all works out ok
28 May 2020 at 9:28 pmWe’ve been at home since mid-March. Some people are getting restless and unfortunately not being too considerate of others, or very nice. Freshly baked treats are always a hit.
29 May 2020 at 4:20 amI agree that some people think lockdown is over now, whilst others are more anxious than ever. We are baking more too, which is fun
29 May 2020 at 8:19 amThe whole family has been chilling and doing their thing. Most of the time we are all busy with personal hobbies to be honest.
30 May 2020 at 2:54 pmAhhh I’ve loved baking more during lockdown 🙂 It’s great that you can get some items for cheaper as well.
