The Ben 10 Power Trip video game is the latest in a long-standing game and franchise based on the Cartoon Ben 10, who itself has been around a long time, in which several incarnations have been done, this one is the last and was released on PS4, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch, with no word of future PS5 or Xbox series X versions yet, it was released in October 2020.
Both Roo and Tigger have known about Ben 10 over the years thanks to the cartoons, and this version of Ben 10 which has been on Cartoon Network has actually been watched by Tigger very recently, so when we knew the game was out it was a great opportunity for him to play something that he knew of and liked, Even piglet who will often sit with him has watched it, thus she now will often sit down and play (pretend play) with his as he plays it, she’s just shy of the age where she could do it, to be honest.

What They Say
“Ben and his family are enjoying their European vacation… until evil magician Hex unleashes the power of four mysterious crystals! Only Ben 10 can break the curse – so get ready to transform into powerful aliens to battle enemies, solve puzzles and freely explore an exciting 3D world.
It’s hero time! With Gwen and Grandpa Max on your side, all the humour and rivalry from the Cartoon Network show is here. And since four arms are better than two, Kevin Levin is along for the adventure in local split-screen co-op. This is one Power Trip you’ll want to take again and again. It’s hero time!”
What Tigger Says
“Ben 10 power trip is about saving the world from hex, there is only one mode and that is the story mode, In Story Mode, you play as Ben 10 and 6 other Aliens, you don’t get to choose who you play as, as the game decides randomly through the parts of the game.
As you play through the game you get to unlock special moves for each of your character’s. Once you have finished the story mode you can add them do free play and do side missions to earn coins, these are to buy power-ups from the in-game shop, I like the game because I can play some of my favourite characters.”
Tips
*If you can’t do a mission come back later with a different Alien to complete the missions
*If you’re running low on health wait for it to recharge before going back to battle.
Overall
Tigger had the opportunity to play this on both Xbox and Switch, and to be honest its essentially the same which will please some switch owners who sometimes don’t always get the full version of games, this might be a story mode game but it does have some open world to it, with RPG elements and as well as multiplayer within the story etc, so there is still enough to do to keep entertained, there are some challenging parts but not really, nothing out of the ordinary for this style of game, like Spyro, Crash, Mario etc.
The cartoony style game with the characters are easy to understand, its all done very Ben 10 esc, which again is fine, Piglet can understand some of it which is a good thing, whether a 12+ will enjoy this is up in the air, Tigger likes the game as this is ideal for his age, but he is at the top end of it.
