Loot Crates are a selection of items themed and sent to you either each month, or a once-off, or whenever. They vary in themes from regular ones for subscriptions or common brands like Harry Potter or Marvel, to special limited boxes like LOTR or Star Wars. These can take a while to deliver so please bear this in mind, every order I’ve ever placed has been delayed by weeks and months.

A few months ago we began to treat the kids (and us ) a Loot crate/mystery box every month as a treat if they have been good, the variety of items in there often caters to at least 2 or 3 of us. This month one was all about Cosmic and dealt with space etc..

The Box

The box as normal comes a solid black on the outside but once opened shows the design and whatever will be the Loot craft idea, this is where you can turn the box into something when you are finished, this one had cut out rockets and Astronauts. As I’ve said before this is a really good idea, party for recycling partly for a little extra fun.

Inside the box, you receive a card with details of what’s in the box, and a quick explanation “Embark on a journey through uncharted galaxies and uncover the secrets of the universe with this months crate. Blast off on a COSMIC adventure through the pop culture galaxy with this stellar collection of exclusive gear!”  On the back is a competition entry for a mega Crate and how to download and use the APP and AR with this rocket.

Original Captain Marvel 3D Comic standee

“commemorate the MCU live-action release of Captain Marvel with this Loot Crate Edition of 3D comic standee depicting the galaxy’s mightiest hero in all her cosmic Glory’ It also comes with a mini Movie Poster of her aswell. I’ve seen these 3D models before and I really like them, every time they are done they look really good as they are very similar to the original comics, Tigger wanted this for his collection.

Exclusive Alien Facehugger Face Towel Face Towel

” Originally released in June 1979, this year marks the 40th Anniversary of the iconic Sci-fi film. This Exclusive washcloth lets you recreate the infamous Alien face-hugger scene all but without the inevitable alien bursting through your chest” I’m a big fan of the Alien franchise, especially Aliens as its one of my favourite films, so to get this was fantastic, its a pretty decent Face towel anyway but the design is clever.

Exclusive Lost in Space Jupiter 2 Notebook

This loot crate edition Lost in Space Jupiter 2 notebook is the perfect companion for taking notes in the field, recording new discoveries, and even uncovering shape-shifting alien Robots” This is the mission log from the main space ship Jupiter in the series, its min sized and has plain paper not lined, with a washout design of mission 24, to be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the series past or recently, Tigger saw it as a mini note pad for his missions he has planned.

Exclusive Cosmic Pin

” Light your path through the galaxy with this exclusive glow in the dark cosmic pin. this Loot crate branded accessory seamlessly combines fashion and function creating the perfect addition for any explorer” Its a rock orbiting the moon, it’s a neat little pin and the fact it glows in the dark adds a little difference to it, Tigger was more than pleased with this.

Mystery cosmic Tee

Lastly the box had a mystery cosmic tee, this one we received was from Office space, others had received captain proton etc..The shirt was a nice colour and the design is fine, I’m not a big fan of office space (don’t know why) but I was fine to have it, there a many other pop culture references they could have chosen but oh well.

Overall…

Overall the crate is fine, I don’t think it been the best I’ve had, the Facehugger washcloth by far was the best, the Tee is fine, and I enjoy the 3D comic standee as we have some already so it adds to our collection, if your a Captain Marvel fan then you might find this crate more interesting. The Loot craft option was simple and ok.
